The engagement
Pathway Recover translated Barbour County Schools’ credit-recovery requirements into a live, four-role product demonstration. Evaluators could experience the student, teacher, lab, and district-admin workflows immediately, with no setup and no exposure to real student data.

The challenge
A feature checklist could not prove that adaptive test-out, mastery controls, real-time intervention, standards evidence, and district reporting would work together. The bid needed a believable product experience that made those relationships visible while remaining explicit about what was demonstrated and what required deployment-stage integration.

The approach
We mapped the RFP to testable workflows, built the adaptive learning and mastery logic first, and designed a guided evaluator tour around the moments most important to the district. We then added role-specific tools, standards and graduation reporting, tutoring, accommodations, pacing, and grading within an information architecture familiar to K–12 teams.

Evaluators can complete the intended four-part tour from a public HTTPS link with printed demo credentials.

The catalog contains 412 courses, with four fully playable courses and polished outlines for the rest.

The four built courses compute 100% coverage across their mapped WVCCRS standards and expose lesson-level mastery evidence.

Production-facing privacy posture is explicit: every student record is synthetic and enterprise integrations are clearly labeled as deployment-stage work.
