Frosty Fridays
A Friday-morning lake-plunge community got a staged brand site—and its Instagram archive became an 18-Friday visual record.

The engagement
Frosty Fridays is the free Friday-morning lake-plunge community founded by Jacob White at Lincoln Park's Chess Pavilion. With roughly 9,000 Instagram followers and a new gathering every week, the brand needed more than a six-page brochure: it needed a home for the community record already living across its social accounts. This staged launch build runs on a Euphemios subdomain ahead of transfer to the brand's own domain.
01
The challenge
The client supplied a detailed six-page design handoff and a binding brand book, while the community's real story was spread across a much larger social archive. The build had to recreate the approved Home, About, Events, Shop, Media, and Contact pages at high fidelity, turn hundreds of source assets into a coherent week-by-week record, preserve the photography's documentary character, and remain usable at 360px without exposing fragment identifiers in the address bar.
02
The approach
We rebuilt the handoff as a Next.js static export and translated the brand book into exact Frosty Yellow, Powder Blue, and Feather Black tokens, with Hanken Grotesk throughout, Instrument Serif accents, and Baloo 2 reserved for the wordmark. A full scrape of the Frosty Fridays and founder accounts yielded 170 unique posts, 643 images, and 144 videos; the selected media was curated into 18 Fridays, optimized to WebP and H.264, and treated with a consistent 35mm film-grain finish. The release gate runs the project's executable check.sh to verify routes and assets, prove the hashtag scanner with its self-test, scan the rendered copy, and enforce fragment-free section navigation.

What we delivered
- A 26-route Next.js static export staged at frostyfridays.euphemios.com ahead of transfer to the brand's own domain
- Eighteen dated gallery pages populated from the community's own photo archive
- The Colony growth page using the founder's week-labeled retrospective group photos, with the documented attendance counts carried through weeks 1–10
- A six-reel video strip with per-video hover playback and unmute controls
- A Media archive documenting the Aug 28, 2026 Frosty x Frosty collaboration with Wendy's
- An executable check.sh covering exported routes, local assets, the self-tested hashtag gate, and fragment-free navigation
- 01
The community now has a staged launch build that presents the full client design and is ready for the planned domain transfer.
- 02
Eighteen Fridays of community photography are browsable as dated galleries instead of remaining scattered across social posts.
- 03
The Colony turns the founder's retrospective group shots into a week-by-week growth record while preserving the source attendance counts.
- 04
The brand book is expressed consistently across the static site, from its three core colors and type system to the film treatment on every image.
- 05
Selected photos and videos were converted to web-ready WebP and H.264 assets while retaining links back to their source posts.
- 06
The build remains fully responsive at 360px, and its executable gate protects route, asset, copy, and navigation requirements on every run.
